Company interview guide
The questions candidates report being asked for your role, each with a guide to finding the answer in your own experience.
Almost every applicant takes the same roughly 85 question personality and situational judgement test, except candidates for technology roles, who are reported to face a coding assessment instead.
The test is reported to run online immediately after the application, whether that application was submitted at home or at an in-store hiring kiosk, and to score professionalism, teamwork and coping under pressure before a human is involved.Open roles now

5 stages from application to offer. Online assessment is reported to be the one that decides it.
5stages
Candidates are reported to apply either online at home or at a hiring kiosk inside a store, entering education and employment history. Which channel you use is not reported to change what happens next.
Most candidates are reported to take an online test of roughly 85 questions immediately after applying, combining a personality section and a situational judgement section built around real customer scenarios. Technology and engineering candidates are reported to instead complete a coding assessment at this stage.
A short call confirming basic fit and availability for candidates who clear the assessment, deciding whether you move to a face to face interview.
A more in depth conversation with one or more members of the hiring team, reported to go deeper into behavioural and role specific questions than the phone screen.
A background check, and for some roles a drug test or physical, is reported to follow the interview before a formal offer. Requirements are reported to vary by role.
Ask before the interview: what will this round cover, who will I meet, and is there anything I should prepare? The question almost nobody asks

Every role sits behind the same application and online assessment, so the core set below applies whatever you applied for. Each specialist role then adds the rounds specific to it.

One concrete, checkable fact about Kroger or the specific banner tied to something real about your own background.
Kroger is a big, stable company with a lot of stores near me.

I'd apologize and explain that the system price is what we have to charge.
